Neelam - Lehenga

Made for the garba circle, when the skirt is supposed to spin.

A deep navy lehenga, gathered full at the waist and finished in a wide gold brocade border that flares out when you turn. The blouse is sleeveless with a scoop neck, mirror work set along both straps, and a row of small gold drops along the hem that move as you do. The back is open, held together by two dori ties finished in tassels.

Over it, a gold net dupatta worked in a lattice of sequins and mirrors, edged in satin — drape it over one shoulder, pin it at the waist, or let it trail.

Fit
The blouse ties at the back, so it adjusts — go by your bust measurement. The lehenga waist has give.

Care
Dry clean only. Store the dupatta folded separately so the sequins don't catch the lehenga. Iron inside out on low, never directly over mirrors or brocade.

Wear it with
Oxidised jhumkas, a stack of bangles, bare feet for garba, juttis for everything else. Hair down, so the back ties still show.
